WENDY SCHULTZ

President and CEO

Wendy left a senior level position in a healthcare system where she oversaw the revenue cycle to begin a life of entrepreneurship in 2013. Driven by a strong desire for success, she has built a successful business that supports her dream of owning and managing a network of vacation rental properties. In 5 short years, her commitment to integrity and excellence has rocketed the business to a level that not many businesses achieve in their lifetime. She has a Masters of Business Administration degree and is a licensed real estate agent specializing in investment rental properties. She is mainly responsible for new property and new client acquisition. Wendy is a teacher at heart and loves to help people find vacation homes that they can enjoy as well as rent to offset expenses! Wendy enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends. Her favorite place to be is at the beach! She also has recently taken up horseback riding. She and her husband, Scott, have two daughters who are elementary school aged. They also have a love for animals with a menagerie consisting of a dog, two cats, and a horse. They reside in De Pere, WI and have a home in Venice, FL

SCOTT SCHULTZ

Vice President of Operations

Scott recently left the corporate world to join Wendy in building The Simple Life Hospitality. He coordinates the remodeling, furnishing and general maintenance of the properties. He also manages a retail division of The Simple Life Hospitality. Scott has a Bachelor’s Degree in History and had worked in the insurance industry prior to joining The Simple Life Hospitality. He is an avid Beatles fan and recently began playing guitar. He’s first picked to be on trivia teams with a wealth of knowledge about pop culture, sports, history, and politics. He is starting to love Florida as much as Wendy does and they spend a good deal of time traveling together with their daughters. He also enjoys watching basketball and football.

LISA JACOBSON

Chief Operating Officer

Lisa joined the Simple Life team after 25 years managing customer service centers supporting the financial services industry. Her passion for travel and belief in the power of a work / life balance, brought her to the Simple Life Hospitality in support of Wendy’s vision of providing a high integrity, professional property management program. Her focus on customer service will encompass both owners and guests within our network of properties. Lisa has a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, and lives in Sherwood, WI, along with her husband, Jim. They are working toward an empty nest – with 2 grown daughters, and a son heading to college shortly. Lisa loves to travel, spend time with family and friends, and just live life to the fullest.

MELISSA SWINK

Executive Assistant

Melissa assists Wendy and Scott with managing the daily operations of The Simple Life Hospitality. She loves creating online experiences for guests to choose properties, book reservations, and plan their vacations with ease. Melissa also enjoys working with owners to prepare their properties for rentals and write their listings, and keeping them informed of their properties’ performance. Melissa has a Bachelors Degree in Business Management and extensive experience in the fields of operations and marketing. She lives in De Pere, WI with her husband, daughter, and pets, and enjoys cooking, reading, and yoga.

MICHELLE CONARD

Project Manager/ Analyst

Michelle makes sure that everything is running smoothly with our software and does the analytical work for each of our properties to be sure we have as much data as possible to make strategic decisions and get the results that make us stand out from the rest. She prides herself on her “out of the box” thinking to come up with solutions to problems. Michelle holds a Bachelor’s degree from St. Norbert College where she majored in International Business and Spanish.

In her off time Michelle enjoys hanging out with her husband and twins. They enjoy doing outdoor activities such as boating, bike riding, and horseback riding. Michelle is an avid animal lover with plenty of fur babies and loves to volunteer for the animal shelter where two of her animals came from.

CARRIE TJERNAGEL

Project Manager/ Analyst

Carrie assists the team with marketing and copywriting, and spreading the word about the services we offer. Carrie holds a Bachelors degree from Wisconsin Lutheran College where she majored in English and minored in Communication.

She lives in beautiful Door County with her husband and daughter. They enjoy the amazing life that Door County offers—hiking in the State and County Parks and boating and fishing on the abundant waters of the area. Carrie is a fitness fanatic, teaching a group fitness class at the YMCA and has completed over a dozen half marathons.
