Boulder Lakehouse

We spent the 4th of July here with our adult children and grandbaby, all coming together from different places, and the house was more than we expected! Our family has a history at Boulder Lake, so being back together here was incredibly special.
The private lakefront and outdoor space were amazing. We loved the canoes, kayaks, fantastic bikes, outdoor dining, and days spent enjoying the lake. Having two living rooms was perfect for our family, and the air conditioning was definitely appreciated! The fireworks felt like our own private show right from the lake.
So many wonderful family memories were made here—from busy days on the water to peaceful nights together. Boulder Lake will always hold a special place in our hearts, and this home made our time together even better. We would absolutely stay again and highly recommend it!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Boulder Lakehouse. The propery and home are beautiful. We had 6 adults staying for a week and there was plenty of roon for all of us. The beds were comfortable too. We enjoyed using the canoes & kayaks and bicycles during our stay. The kitchen was wonderful. We cooked most of our meals there and had all the equipment needed and used the coffee maker daily. We enjoyed the deck overlooking the water and saw a few bald eagles and lots of turkeys and deer during our stay. The cabin feels remote, but is close to boulder junction and only about 20-25 minutes to Minocqua. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Great location, great amenities (kayaks, canoes, bikes, boat house, washer dryer, gorgeous deck). Quiet lake!The only negative feedback would be a bit of a musty smell in the lower level (that went away when the windows were opened). Overall, we had a great time.

Boulder Lake House was exactly as described, and Simple Life was incredibly responsive when we had questions. Boulder Lake is gorgeous!
Great kitchen for those of you who like to cook on your vacation. The house was clean, had plenty of space for hanging out and is well maintained. The furnishings are well thought out for family gatherings. Comfy couch, plenty of other seating for movie night.
Little details were much appreciated...wooden hangers in closets, clear directions on appliances, whimsical artwork.
Our favorite part of the house was the huge porch overlooking the lake....gorgeous sunsets!!
Bikes, canoes and kayaks were also appreciated and well maintained.
I would recommend Boulder Lake House to friends and family.

Please note however, that swimming at this property might not be for everyone. There is a great deal of vegetation (some might call it weeds) surrounding the pier and Boulder Lake is aptly named. Pontoon rental was key for us.

It was ok. Dock had issues that need to be fixed. Sliding door upstairs did not lock. I called on these items.Upstairs of house was nice but you could tell lower level was probably a basement that had a cheaper remodel. There was an open hole in ceiling in one bedroom and holes in wall in other. Lots of steps from house to dock and more steps inside house. It is not somewhere we would stay again.

Very comfortable, roomy house on Boulder lake. Close to town and bike trails. Bikes, kayaks, canoes were provided. There was a small issue with the AC which was taken care of with good communication from the host. The deck, outdoor stairs and driveway was very littered with tree debris and I thought it was a tripping hazard.
