Koselig Cottage

Perfect for my husband,myself and our dog. We loved having comfy seating on the deck to enjoy the morning sun. House is clean and comfortable. The private but near everything was perfect for what we wanted-ferry, Newport,great pottery and restaurants!

We absolutely loved our stay! The property was private, peaceful, and such a great place to relax. We especially appreciated that it was pet-friendly and that there were little extras throughout the house that made the stay even more enjoyable, like games and things to do that weren’t even listed in the description. Everything felt very thoughtful and welcoming. We would definitely stay here again!

two years in a row we have stayed at this property. Calm, Relaxing and wonderful atmosphere. Several things to do but most important is the peace and quite once get. During my stay Simple life Rental was there to help me navigate through check in and my whole stay. Will be coming back for sure. They have a raspberry bush on the property as well and sounds of Rosters was a bliss.

Such a cute cottage outside the main touristy spots of Door County allowing for a more secluded and quiet experience! Wish we could’ve stayed longer to spend more time there relaxing.

This cabin was so beautifully decorated. The windows all around the cabin were fantastic. So light and loved seeing the outdoors. Plenty of room for my family and I. Close to a coffee shop for early morning coffee stop. I loved the cozy corner to read my book and play board games in the evening. It was just what we were looking for and would love to come back.

The Koeselig cottage is adorable! We have stayed in mulitple VRBO's and AIRBNB's over the years and while we loved our stay at this cottage in Ellison Bay, I think that the rental company could have done a better job at several things:1. The listing description should say that you are going to drive about a 1/4 mile on a long, bumpy dirt road to get to the property.2. No kitchen towels were provided, no Kleenex was provided and only two very small 1/2 rolls of toilet paper were provided (not even a full roll for a multiple night stay).3. The remote control did not work, thus no tv. We contacted the rental company and they suggested that we replace the batteries. It was a rechargeable remote. They should have a checklist for each property to know this and be certain that the remote is charged.4. The floors and fridge are noisy. 5. Food from the previous renters was left in the fridge and we were told that we should dispose of the items. If the previous renter forgot to dispose of their food items, then the cleaning company should dispose of such items. The cleaning fee is large for VRBO stays. At every other up north vacation property we have stayed at (managed by a rental company) they had a complimentary bag of coffee and bottle of wine. This had neither. They offered one sample size coffee, which will last one day. At this price, I would expect a bit more.

This was a lovely place to stay! We enjoyed the fireplace at night, and the place fit the two of us comfortably. The second bedroom with the queen and two bunks looked like a tight fit, but we didn’t need the extra room. The main bedroom had some weirdly creaky floors, but that’s not much of a problem. We used the bikes provided. The bike seats were in rough shape, but we put garbage bags on top and didn’t have any problems. And, we couldn’t raise one of the seats. But- we were happy to have bikes for the trip! We appreciated the dining room/lounge area as it was extra space to relax! The decor and overall feel of the place was quite lovely! I’d stay there again.

This was a second stay at this location for our family. It was wonderful again! We love the location and surroundings. It is great to be outside of town but it is an easy drive to many locations. The home itself had all the amenities we were looking for. Everything was as expected.

I’d recommend this excellent home to any friend or colleague. Beautiful place with all of the amenities a family needs. Added bonuses: beach umbrella in basement, record player with records, and many comfortable places to experience the stay inside and out. Loved it. Hope to return!

Tucked away from all the hustle and bustle, this cute retreat was perfect. You have to look for the driveway and follow the signs, but once there it's perfect. It's a 5 minute drive to downtown so the location is great. Very clean and as described. We'll definitely be back!

This cute cottage was a great place to stay when wanting to be close to Sister Bay and explore all it has to offer. We had access to great shops and restaurants and enjoyed the cute living areas inside and outside the cottage to gather with friends! Great memories were made! Made for an amazing 50th birthday weekend with friends!
