The Reserve at Plum Bottom

The house was beautiful and very clean. We all enjoyed it. The fenced back yard was great for our dogs. The location was convenient as well. The Internet was very spotty and didn’t work consistently enough to watch TV. The cost for dogs is 50 per dog per night. The listing says a fee will be assessed, but we didn’t find out how much it was until a few days before we were arriving.

With 5 adults and 2 dogs this was a great location. The fenced in yard was waaaay bigger than it looks in the photo also a bonus when taking the dogs out at night. Very close to a Land Trust which offered a beautiful winter hike. About 8 mins to downtown Egg Harbor - also a bonus!
I needed to contact Simple life and they responded immediately.
Wonderful spot and would love to come back when it warms up!

The house was perfect for our family. Everyone was able to have their own room and bed. Plenty of room to eat. Liked how it was so open - between the living room, kitchen and dining room area. Having the backyard fenced in was nice to have with 2 little ones. The house was stocked with everything that we needed. The downside to the house rental was the flies. There were flies everywhere so when we were cooking, or eating, and they were flying all around, it was kind of gross.

The house was clean, comfortable and very easy to live out of for several days as we visited Door County towns and state parks. It was perfect for us to stay with our daughter and her family with 2 children(1&2). The dining room, kitchen and living are open concept, which was great for toddler and infant exploring/playing and family togetherness. It is away from any towns, so star visibility was amazing every night at the backyard fire pit. We we used charcoal grill twice and ate on the back patio. We have a small dog and it was fabulous to let him roam around the fenced yard when we were there. Easy checkin/out and wonderful stay.

It was the perfect get away from the city. The home was clean and comfortable. Very easy check in and out. Our little dog loved the space too. Away from the main strip but close to enough to easily get too the restaurants and activities. Would definitely recommend it as a place to recharge and rest.

Good location, close enough to everything yet far away from the crowds. Very quiet & secluded. The house was very clean & well stocked with toiletries and plenty of towels. Great large size washer/dryer & tons on closet/storage space. TV was nice with plenty of channels and DISH network. Very open and bright, we loved the large kitchen! We also loved the deck & fenced yard for our little chihuahua. Enjoyed a fire in the fire pit & bought wood from a neighbors stand for $3, which was perfect. Only question we came across was where to dispose of recyclables on checkout (there was only 1 outside garbage bin which we assumed was for regular trash, perhaps instructions could be provided for recycling). Overall great place & we will definetly return!! Five stars!!

We had a lovely stay. The house was exactly as described and was spotless. The kitchen had most of the basics; we only had a couple of meals out during our stay, which made for a relaxing vacation. We were traveling with children and my in-laws, so the layout was perfect. My in-laws had a private suite all to theselves that was on the opposite side of the house from where our family slept. The huge yard was fantastic--our 93 lb dog was loving life.
The only negatives for us were the distance from the towns (we had to drive any time we wanted to do anything) and the price, which we thought was high given the location. More minor issues were the absence of a recycling bin (the rental company thought there was one in the garage, but there was not), and a non-functioning burner on the stove. Wifi was spotty but there was a detailed written explanation of the lack of wifi the area and the (very fair) solution the owners came up with to deal with that.

The fenced yard was phenomenal for our Miniature Schnauzer. He DELIGHTED in following every scent and sound. It may be the most joyful we have ever observed our 2 year old dog.

The house was beautiful! The kitchen was our favorite spot and made laying out a taco buffet so easy. Everything was clean and just as described. Getting into the house was simple as well. The location is great, a short drive to attractions and restaurants in Egg Harbor! A little far if you want to get to Sister Bay but only about 30 minutes. Even though none of us 7 women were on the WiFi, there was still a lot of buffering when we tried to watch a movie during downtime between activities. Other than that, the stay was great and I would love to come back for a couples trip! I didn’t have my dog this time but would definitely consider bringing him along next time!

We had a great stay. The house looks exactly like the photos. It was comfortable for our group of 3 couples. We had some issues gaining entry because the front door knob was broken, but we figured it out. The dish washer was also non-functional during our stay. The host was very responsive regarding the issue. While it required a technician and couldn’t be repaired during our stay (understandably) the host had a great plan to manage the issue while we were there. I would recommend this home for your stay in Door County.

This property was immaculate. The house was newly renovated with very modern décor, which lent for a nice time when spent lounging in the house. The fenced in backyard was a huge hit with our two dogs; it was so refreshing being able to just let them run. We also brought our 18 month old who enjoyed the backyard and ease of access around the ranch home. The kitchen could be more equipped with things like a cutting board, more than one frying pan, a strainer etc. The location was just fine for us to get around. It was just a bit out of the way, if you're looking to be closer to town, but for us it worked. Overall, we really enjoyed this house and our stay. It was easy to find, very clean, and provided more than enough space.

Home was recently updated, clean, and exactly what we needed. Stayed with a group of 5 (2 couples, 1 teenager), so the multiple bedrooms, bathrooms and large communal space was perfect. Everything was as described and worked great. Large fenced in yard and the surroundings were beautiful and peaceful. Pet friendly and our dog was right at home! Only possible negative was limited internet and cell reception. But that comes with the secluded setting and wasn't an issue for us (actually more of a positive for what we wanted) but could see it as a concern for some.

The home was super clean, and had great accommodations, including a large fire pit and porch. Updated house was beautiful! Fenced back yard worked great for the dog! Loved the solitude except when cars went by going 70 mph. Could have used many more towels! Kitchen was fairly well stocked but for what we paid there should have been ample foil, plastic wrap, napkins, paper towels etc. I had to buy more. WiFi was really bad, and we knew that going in based on all that we read - but it was hard to even type in a restaurant to get an address or a menu. Definitely could not do work effectively if I needed to. Patio table would have been really nice, the picnic table is in bad shape and is so far out in the yard. All in all, we had a great time and really loved the house. Thank you!

This is a nice house for a group, especially if you want a nice kitchen. However, with all of the taxes and fees it ends up being nearly $3,000 a night, which is much too expensive for what it is.

If you are looking for a quiet respite after a day of exploring beautiful Door County, this is a great place. It is out of town a short distance, but worth it. While we didn't have dogs, this place is dog friendly with fenced in yard to keep them safe. Great place for families.

The absolute best place to stay with your dogs in Door County! We've been taking our pups to DC for four years, always a challenge as "pet-friendly" accommodations are hard to find, and not usually very good logistically for pets. This place was incredible, with a huge fenced in back yard that gave them space to run and exercise, and pet-proof LVP flooring and set up indoors.
Enough about the dogs- it was great for us, too! Secluded and quiet, but centrally located so easy to get to pretty much anywhere in 15-20 minutes. Very nicely done complete interior gut remodel, with a large kitchen and island, nice bedrooms - comfortable beds for 4 adults and 2 kids. Could easily sleep more by rolling out the futons and couch beds but wouldn't be as comfy.
Two points I think are important to mention, not necessarily good/bad, just are:
(1) WiFi and cell phone coverage (at least for Verizon) are not great. They provide WiFi but it is a hard area for internet providers to service, so the bandwidth is limited. Don't expect to be able to do high data-intense work effectively if you need connection while on vacation. You will have to drive 10 minutes to Egg Harbor if you need to do that. Emails, web-surfing are fine, however.
(2) AirBnB does not include the daily fee for pets ($45/pet/day) when you book your stay. The owner has to collect it later from you. It is totally worth the price - by far the best place to stay in Door County with your dogs - but be aware it gets added later. They tell you this in the description, but it's easy to miss.
We loved our stay and will be back next year!

The house is exactly as pictured! Located off a quiet farm road, the interior of the home is completely renovated, offers an open floor plan and every amenity you may need during your stay. The backyard has a walk out deck located right off the kitchen, a fire pit with additional seating and it is completely fenced in which was a great addition for our dog! Home is located in very rural area......big yard for dogs to play was a bonus (gaps in fence gate areas so be careful of small pups). Home has nice size rooms that have been updated within last few years. Nice kitchen and bathroom! Beds were comfortable. Sliding door off the kitchen is old and only locks with a stick in the bottom ridge.....and no window coverings! Inside garage door is older with no lock!! No secure feeling at night. Slow WIFI both inside the home and in the surrounding area. Upon entry we immediately noticed a very strong and awful "plug in scent" which we soon realized masked the odor of stale cigarettes, especially in the master and living areas. This is suppose to be a "no smoking" home? Cleaning fees, dog fees and multiple taxes were too high!

This place was perfect. It’s location is outside of egg harbor (about a 5min drive). The inside was beautiful! We had two dogs and the backyard was amazing. Fenced in with a deck and fire pit. My wife was a bit concerned before we arrived because we weren’t right on the water…she got over that quickly once she saw the kitchen and set up here. Beautifully maintained and just an overall wonderful spot.

The house was clean and cozy. Backyard was very nice and quiet in the evening. We worked remotely and the Wi-Fi was good enough, a little slow but worked out well. Location is great, central to all of the hiking and places we like to go to. We brought our dog and the pet fee seemed a little high for as long as we stayed, a flat cleaning fee after a week would have been nice.

This location is great and has a ton of amenities that help keep a big group entertained. The inside was beautiful and communication from the host was great! We enjoyed the seclusion and is a great location for bigger groups.
