Amazing location! Fabulous views - the yard was perfect for the dogs! House is on a quiet residential street so we were able to take the dogs on walks and it was so safe. Communication was great from host!

The Simple Life team was great and super responsive. The cottage is cute and in a very peaceful setting right on the lake. The house itself was fine, a bit overpriced for what it was. It was a little dirty - stained couch and kinda dirty bathroom. It could also use a restock of kitchen supplies, like there were no mugs and one very small cutting board. Overall though we enjoyed our stay - felt a bit more like glamping.

I will say the view of the lake and the outside yard with fire pit was amazing. It was a very private location but a just a few minutes from restaurants and stores At first glance somewhat clean, the furniture could use a good cleaning or it’s time to get new. The dishes were totally disgusting!! We fixed that problem by washing them. Thank god for paper towels as there were NO dish rags or dish towels any where that we could find.Our last day there we decided to just hang out at the property play yard games and swim. We were lucky enough to bring one yard game with us. And after that made up our own games as the corn hole and outdoor games they claimed they had were also no where to be found!!We were also lucky enough to check the grill before we went shopping for supper as there was not enough gas. Asked if there was an extra tank. Was told there was on the patio but we never did find it.The management was very quick at responding to us and I did let them

Great location right on the water! Really enjoyed having a fire pit and being able to wade right into the lake.
In addition to the 3 portable fans mentioned in the description, we were pleasantly surprised that all 3 bedrooms also had ceiling fans. With highs of 80 and lows at night if 65 the weekend we were there, felt pretty comfortable.

Cleanliness was a big issue, it was very apparent throughout. Communication to check in was okay, got instructions with some grace time before our trip. Keep in mind location is phenomenal and secluded, but at the same time food locations are few and far between (which makes sense).

The house was very clean. The view of the water was great. The size was fine for the two of us but may feel a bit small for a family with children. Although there is a nice breeze off the lake, air conditioning on humid days would have been nice.

Beautiful location on the lake! The house itself is quite old, small and needs updating/deep cleaning for the price. Arrived and there was laundry piled up on one of the beds. The garage is not usable by Airbnb guests and there is no air conditioning for those of us with allergies.

Owners provided full details by email the week before our stay. The home was clean and all the amenities were provided for pleasant lake house stay. The WiFi and satellite TV was easy and straightforward to access. The Lake Michigan side of Door County is less busy and the best area to unwind and relax.

The view is amazing, watched the sunrise every morning. We were lucky the weather was in the mid 70's in July, there is no A/C at this rental so keep that in mind when choosing this location.

We stayed here on a spontaneous visit to DC with our 4 girls: a baby and 3 elementary aged kiddos, plus our Bernese Mountain Dog. We brought our own Pack N Play (we didn’t take the time to ask if one was available), and we had the perfect amount of space. The kitchen was well stocked; we only cooked one meal during our 2-night stay. Even without AC, we were comfortable with the windows open and the fans on. Our girls loved picking raspberries in the yard and playing on the beach. We did not swim, since it was a rocky shore, but we had fun skipping stones and looking for treasures. It was a quiet, peaceful area, and we didn’t see or hear from anyone. We loved the proximity to Sister Bay and were grateful this spot was open for a last minute visit!

We really enjoyed the views from this location. It was very quiet and peaceful and private. When we arrived a Bald Eagle soared above us. We skipped rocks, and swam, and fished. We had bonfires, and laughed, and listened to music. The drive to Sister Bay is less than 10 minutes, and a straight shot, making it super easy to visit the beach, shops, and restaurants. The "cabin" has been updated and is nice. There is no air conditioning, but the breeze from the lake makes sleeping just fine. We would stay at this location again.

Property has beautiful view and yard. Common space inside is very small. No table, 3 stools and room for 3 in living room. Cross your fingers for good weather. Definitely no room for 6 on a rainy day.

We had a lovely stay at this property. The house was cute and the hosts were very responsive. We enjoyed sitting out on the porch and drinking coffee over the lake's sunrise each morning. Sister Bay was very close and a convenient location for dinner or a little shopping. There is also a small beach area and playground that my 5-year old loved. Door county is a special place and we will definitely consider this property again in any future visits.

The home was nice and the area private and quiet. It took many phone calls to check in and then had to call again to get an access code. NOTHING was sent prior to the stay.

This is a beautiful little lake house! Perfect for the two of us. I loved being able to sit on the deck or in the living room and watch and listen to the lake. The house, although in “Sister Bay”, is on the lakeside, not the bayside, but it’s a super fast, straight drive to downtown Sister Bay and the bayside.
We also got to meet a couple of cute neighbor dogs (I’m lookin’ at you Buddy and Heidi). I do not know if they were residents or visitors, but both were very sweet! Just be aware of off-leash nearby dogs.
A previous review mentioned bugs. Yes…? It’s a lake house in wooded Wisconsin. We stayed for 6 nights/7 days and I ended up with about 3 mosquito bites (so almost none). There were tons of mayflies, but they’re totally harmless and we couldn’t have cared less! Never saw a tick.
Would 100% stay again!

Beautiful property. We stayed here for a Mother’s Day weekend and it is in a great location and the property on the lake is gorgeous. Worth noting that 50% of the time the outside was too buggy to be out there for more than a minute- this was late May. The property management was great and super responsive. Would suggest some proactive treatment for the bugs outside. That said, still felt like a 5-star property.
