This is a beautiful home. It worked well for 6 friends who’ve been together 50+ years. We loved the area, too, and enjoyed a fish boil at The Old Post Office to sandwiches at Coyote Roadhouse and lunch at Harbor Market Grill. Donny Glidden’s was a special treat. Great stay.

Beautiful place. The toilet downstairs did not work at all. The dishwasher was full and had not been run when we arrived. When cooking, we had to scrub pots that were placed back that were not cleaned at all. The WIFI did not work very well. A nice place to stay, but they could be more consistent about ensuring the place is spotless before guests arrive. Especially for the price, you'd think they would want the place to be cleaner.

Found this listing by using the pet friendly filter and it does say that a pet fee will be collected during booking - so we assumed whatever we paid at booking included the pet fee. Come to find out a week before check in that there is a 50 per night per pet fee - which they did not clearly list in the description and sprung it on us a week before the trip leaving us without an option to find another place. To me this didn’t make any sense, it wouldn’t cost us anymore if we have 1-2 more guests…why should we be charged a nightly fee for pets? It’s not like an extra deposit in case if the pets make a mess.Besides that the house is in a great location. The furnishings are a bit outdated but all the essentials are there. Did want to note that half of the 8 chairs by the fire pit area were broken and not usable. Good thing there was only 4 of us.

Overall, basic meeds met. Wasnt super comfortable, pillows werent comfortable. Didnt seem super clean because we kept finding crumbs and dog hair in the beds and sofa, kerosene was dripping downstairs, the AC unit was on but it didnt do anything so it was super hot the entire time. Mold in the trash can, and very poor communication from the property owner, sent multiple text via VRBO chat and an email and got no response.

A beautiful property and great for families with children. Game room in the basement and basketball hoop outside. Beautiful grounds. Great deck in the back and a fire pit in the yard. Lots of room inside. There was six of us and we never felt crowded. Just about everything you could need in the kitchen. Beautiful little sunroom. Pet friendly. I highly recommend.

The house was wonderful. It accommodated each family which isn't always easy to do. And having the large dining room is such a pleasure. The location worked out well as we like to head all over DC. We really enjoyed the yard, it was great for the kids. We are looking at timing for next year and and are hoping Stoneridge will be available that weekend.

We come up every Fall Fest for our annual family reunion. This was our 2nd time at this property, and we loved our stay. We had more than enough room for the 11 of us, plus our dogs. Had other family visit for game night, and the huge dining room table was perfect. Loved the high chairs, games, toys, and movies for the kids. The yard was amazing for the dogs to get out their energy. The kitchen was stocked with all the typical things you might forget. They've thought of everything you might need to make your stay amazing. Thank you!! We hope to stay again next year.

Wonderful place! Loved the yard! Private and a nice campfire pit. We loved the toys left around for my grand-daughter to play with. Location is great!! It’s a short drive to anything in the heart of Door County peninsula. We had ample space for our large group but only 2 showers with a short supply of hot water. We opened windows in the evening and stayed quite comfortable which was a relief as this large house does not really have A/C. Also, the dryer does not seem to be fully functional so unable to wash our beach towels. The floors were very clean which I much appreciated! The showers though need more attention and the house overall could use a good deep cleaning this fall/winter. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but not sure we’d return.

The house was very nice and much better than expected for size, amenities etc. However there where two things that need addressing. One is the mold problem in the downstairs. It desperately needs a dehumidifier because it was so musty that most family members could not stay down there for very long without having breathing issues. The next is much more safety related and is regarding the support structure of the deck. The deck underneath looks as if it about to collapse. (I have multiple pictures and would be glad to share them with you upon request). This needs attention immediately unless you want your property to end up on the evening news. I and my son are mechanical engineers and both of us would not book this property again unless the issue with the deck is repaired. This is not a joke or a complaint. You just need to do something before someone gets hurt. Please contact me after the repairs are made so I can know when I can book the property again. Thank you.

Thank you for the review. I have discussed these two issues with the owner. This past spring they had installed a 15,000 dollar repair for the musty smell, which included a high capacity dehumidifier. A service call was initiated after your stay and the system had failed. The problem has been corrected. We have trained the cleaning staff on maintaining the system in the future. The deck was inspected in the spring and the owner was told it is safe for a few years. However, at that time they scheduled the repairs for this winter and spring. It should be updated by next summer. Please check back with us in May to confirm this has completed before you book next summer. Wr hope to see you again soon.

Overall this property is great. The yard is nice and big. Has just about everything you can think of in the kitchen. Has highchair, booster chair and playpen for kids. Has a small window air conditioner but doesnt really cool the place off but does have a lot of fans. Has a lot of space for your group to stretch out. Had a really nice time and would stay again.

Home was very private, but easy to get to from main roads. Only a few minutes from Baileys Harbor. Great space for 3 couples. Some furniture was different than pictured. Plenty of parking and outdoor space, included chairs. Be prepared for mosquitoes at night, as would be expected in a wooded area. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed.

Overall good experience for our large multigenerational family. PROS: There was area for us to spread out yet be together, and for the children to play. I really enjoyed the outdoor seating options, and the front trees were great for hammocks. There was plenty dish soap, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, towels, blankets, etc. CONS: We did run out of toilet paper. There never seemed to be enough hot water, even when we showered at different times of the day. The bunk bed is a thinker futon mattress and isn't very comfortable. The fold out couch wasnt either. There really want enough sleeping space for a group of 14 as listed. Fortunately we had air mattresses with us we used. The main floor rooms were very hot at night. There is NOT central air conditioning. The basement did smell a little musty. There is a lot of random things in the house that need to go in order to make more room and less clutter.

Overall, the house is clean and the beds are comfortable. There was just one wall A/C for the whole house and it worked ok, but we had 10+ fans going (some were at the house and we also brought some). This made it difficult to have conversations without yelling. There was a musty smell when we arrived, but it seemed to go away once the fans were running. We were able to open a few windows thanks to nice weather, but several had missing screens, so we could not open them. The musty smell in the basement was really bad, and did not go away with opening windows or having fans on. Unfortunately, the people that had to sleep down there did not sleep well. There also seems to be a surplus of unneeded furniture throughout the house making it a bit cluttered. Although it was clean and well furnished, we most likely will not be staying here again.

Great property in a great location, but spent the first 3 hours of vacation cleaning (including scrubbing toilets, sweeping and vacuuming, taking out garbage, washing and changing bed linens). Apparently the cleaning staff didn’t show up and the last renters were a bachelorette party, since there were small bachelorette-style confetti all over the house. This made for an entertaining explanation to the young children in our group. The host did provide a discount once they were aware of what happened and had the cleaners show up later with fresh supplies. The place is great and in a great location, but is in need of a deep cleaning.

It was fairly clean. The vent hood isn't clean. It could have been cleaner. Vent hood had build up grease and grimed and looked like that it had been there a long time. The lid of the garbage can in the kitchen looked like it hadn't been cleaned in awhile. But we had a great time anyway.

I have made a list of items that need attention at this property, in no particular order; Numerous TVs on property but most remotes missing batteries and no instructions on how to operate. Was only able to get tv in master bedroom to work. Closets and kitchen cabinets crammed with crap. Refrigerator downstairs out of order so use of bar area useless. Very musty downstairs. Toilet downstairs downstairs didn’t flush well. Note on thermostat- Do not touch- fire AND note on washer- do not use regular button, it will burn. And had to use pliers to start because knob was off. Smoke detectors missing. Grill was filthy and required soaking and scrubbing before we could use. Electrical outlets were loose so couldn’t use most of them for electrical devices. No instructions for heat/ac - fan was running the whole week. Motion light far right when facing garage seems shorted. Off and on all night.

The house was clean, comfortable and roomy. We had a large family group and had plenty of room for everyone. We loved the deck and large yard in the back with lots of chairs around the firepit. A lot of places just have 2 bathrooms but with this one having 2 full and 1 half, that made a big difference with a group of 13! Our on site contact Deb was great to work with and very responsive!

My family stayed in Bailey’s harbor for a long weekend. We were attending my nephews wedding. The house worked great for us. Clean and roomy. We would have loved to stay longer. The only thing problem was a coffee pot that would only work if you held the button down during entire brewing process.

Our extended family enjoyed Stone Ridge immensely! It had plenty of space to be comfortable and allowed us to all be together. The backyard was great for the kids, as well as the basement bar for their “cocktail bar”. Sleeping arrangements were delightful except we had to wash the bedding of the downstairs bedroom due to cobwebs, though the in-house washer and dryer made that simple. The dining room fit us all, snugly (one leg of the family only joined us for the day). Amenities provided were sufficient except for poor WiFi and not being able to figure out how to use the TV/dish (totally acceptable for the weekend so kids couldn’t just veg). We had an absolute ball celebrating the matriarch and patriarch 70th birthdays—THANK YOU!

This place was the perfect place to get together with all the children and grandchildren!! House large enough to break into small groups (different kids with different activities/games...you know the spiel...lol). And when you could get everyone on the same page, the dining area provided all the space comfortably around the table to eat, play games and just good ol' family time (pretty good considering they're was 14 of us). The outdoors were just as amazing with a large deck to overlook the kids playing in the huge backyard. We were able to set up a volleyball net, play baseball, and other lawn games and then sit around the campfire at night!! Wouldn't hesitate to come back or recommend to others!!

The house is as advertised and comes with everything you need for a few days to relax. Even though it's not on the water it is in a great location not far from Bailey's Harbor and a grocery store just up the road in Sister Bay. The property managers are very responsive to any needs you have. The house is very spacious with a great yard that our dog and us loved!!! We would definitely recommend this house if you are needing one in Door County!

Our first morning there we were greeted with a doe enjoying her breakfast in the backyard:) You have to get up early though to catch her. Also, from a distance, you could hear a rooster crowing. Loved it! The rental is very spacious for larger groups and a huge backyard for our dog to take advantage of:) And for families with teenagers, the downstairs is a great place for them to escape:) Like in some of the other reviews I read, and with the corona virus going around. I’m not sure about the sanitary aspect. Bedrooms were dusty and some of the dishes we need to rewash before we used them because they still had food on them:( Even though we had a wonderful stay:)

Great outdoor space. Plenty of sleeping space. Great location on the Penninsula. Some beds more comfortable than others, but still good accommodations for a week of swimming, hiking, and exploring door County. Had an issue with the oven, but the property manager took care of it right away! Brand new oven installed right away. And when she saw we had a toddler, she pulled out a little tikes car for him to play with! Very considerate! Bring bug spray because you'll want to enjoy the beautiful deck, lawn, fire pit, and woodsy view! Thanks for hosting us!

The house is huge and can very comfortably sleep 12-14 people and give you space to spread out. The yard is beautiful and huge with a fire pit and lots of lawn chairs. The deck is also very large and has a great gas grill. inside the house, everything was very well stocked with everything you need in the kitchen to cook, bake, grill and serve big family meals. There were tvs on both levels and tons of games and books if you didn't bring your own. Plenty of towels and sheets for every bed and bathroom and a full size washer and dryer in the kitchen area. We had a couple small issues upon arrival but they were addressed by the property manager with quick communication.

My family and I stayed early August 2019. We loved the location, dining room, yard, and deck. The biggest problem with the house is that it is dirty and in need of a thorough cleaning. There was a throw rug in the bedroom with the bunk bed I didn’t want to step on and when I moved it the floor was filthy underneath. My sister lost her glasses and looked in the couch cushions and found crumbs and part of a sandwich as if they’ve never been moved or the couch vacuumed. We also didn’t like that there is a note on the fridge in the kitchen that it doesn’t work and to use the one in the dining room. Why not take the broken fridge out and move the other one there? Overall the rental was fine but we wouldn’t stay here again unless it’s thoroughly cleaned.

We liked the location. The property really needs some attention, inside and out. A good cleaning on the inside. It rained one night while there; rain leaked in behind outside patio door trim into living room. Patio screen door frame is broke & screen has a big tear so bugs were drawn to lights we had on while sitting around. Only 2 pods for dishwasher & only 2 garbage bags were found. We found partially dry towels in dryer so finished drying them. Door going out the sunroom should/could have a spring or closure. If the wind would catch it, it would go flying & could break the glass in the door & could hit the living room window.

We loved the layout of the house and yard. The house itself however needs a thorough cleaning and update. The major problem was a refrigerator that didn't work, a sliding door that was a fire hazard for people staying in that room and a very moldy, damp basement level. Lots of dirt everywhere, especially under rugs and in corners of each room. Such a shame because the house itself is beautiful. It was also hot inside especially in the evenings, no central air, only a room sized air conditioner in the sun room. Sorry but we would probably not stay at this property again.

Loved the location, house and the back yard. The back deck was also nice. Everything we needed for our stay. However the housekeeping was no where near the level that is charged. Day 2 I swept the floor and picked up a lot of animal hair. The toilet in the downstairs needed a good scrubbing and there was urine stains on the bottom of the seat. Corners and around the baseboards needed some attention. My grandkids were excited that there was a video game system during one rainy afternoon. After about an hour trying to sort out the controllers, batteries, games, and cables, I just gave up. Looks like someone just threw everything into the entertainment center. There were lots of games and toys to keep the younger grandkids occupied. In summary if the housekeeping issues are addressed or the cleaning fee cut into one third of the current charge, this is a great house and wonderful location.

We had a great weekend with family at Stone Ridge. Plenty of space for all of us. Loved the outdoor areas. Would definitely come back again sometime.

The property is just amazing. The inside of the house was way nicer than the pictures. There are three bedrooms on the first floor can sleep 6-7. 1 bedroom with a double in the basement, sleeper couch, 1 single, 1 sleeper ottoman and 1 futon so another 7-8 in the basement. Only negative is the Wi-Fi didn’t really work. Got connected to the Wi-Fi but couldn’t get on the internet.

We had four families with adult children for a total of 14 people. We loved the roominess. Great yard for games. House is very well kept. We had a lot of fun. Everyone enjoyed their stay. The only concern was when we arrived the door was unlocked so that was weird.

This property was perfect for our three-generation group of 12 - 2 grandparents, 2 kids, 2 kids-in-law and 6 grandkids. We had plenty of space for everyone, even for a sit-down dinner. The house is very baby-friendly. It has everything from two high chairs to an bouncy saucer thing that the 8-month-old loved to sippy cups and baby spoons. The older kids loved playing in the huge yard. The fire pit was a huge hit as well - lots of fun with s'mores. We all had a ball!

We enjoyed our stay at Stone Ridge. There was a problem with one of the showers when we arrived, but the management company had a plumber there the next day and saw that it was fixed. Thanks Deb!. It was too bad that there was no screen on the front door to allow the beautiful breezes in. We had many problems with the Wi-Fi that should be addressed. Overall, we were pleased. 9 of us ranging in age from 8 to 90 included 3 couples, one single and 2 boys. The home was very clean and the sleeping accommodations worked well for us. The large dining room area allowed all of us to enjoy meals together. The home was well supplied with many of the necessities. The boys loved playing Wii when we weren't out and about visiting the many Door County areas. And the fire pit was the perfect spot to make s'mores. We spent the 4th in Bailey's Harbor, eating the pancake breakfast served by the local firefighters, watching the parade and shopping at the market set up on the main drag. The location of the house made it easy for us to visit several of the areas of Door County to shop, eat, swim and enjoy! We would definitely stay there again!

First off, the pictures don't do the property justice. The dining room is amazing and seats 10 comfortably. The MBR was very comfortable with a WIC and very nice BTH. Everything we needed was provided for in the kitchen. The lower level was perfect for teenagers which we had. Outside deck was used for gatherings and morning coffee. The evening we gathered around the firepit and it was perfect. This property is large inside and outside. Highly recommend.

We were in Door County for the 2017 Half IronMan race and stayed at Stone Ridge. The unit was lovely and the grounds were great. My only complaint about the property is that the kitchen cabinets need a serious cleaning out. There are too many of some kitchen utensils and none of others, and the kitchen cupboards are crammed and cluttered. It would be helpful if someone would go through the cabinets and get rid of excess things and make sure it is properly stocked with necessary items.

Our party included 8 adults and 4 children. The home was very spacious with several seating areas for people to sit, chat or play games. Our whole group fit around the dining table. Our favorite amenity was the fire pit. We had a fire each night. We were pleased to see that there were enough chairs for everyone to gather around. Would recommend this property to anyone needing large group accommodations.

Our impressions are influenced by having owned a vacation house in Door County and having rented it out a few weeks of the year. First of all, owner should leave an instruction sheet for things like the TV and location of items. Too much stuff in the house: decorations and knickknacks; multiple small appliances (some not working like coffee makers); multiple sleeping bags, etc. The cabinets and pantry were too crowded. Biggest concern: It was not thoroughly cleaned: lower level not properly dusted and swept; a couple ashtrays on the deck full of cigarette butts; corners on main level not clean. The cushions on the chairs and sofas on both levels really need a cleaning. No key available for the garage. The dish TVs had no instructions and we couldn't get them running for several days. Frustrating. The lounge cushions in the backyard had black mold and we couldn't get them clean. Two old window air conditioners were left on the deck---not safe for little kids. The lower area beneath deck was not clean--- seating area, swings, etc. On the positive side, the location of this house is very good near to beaches, downtown Bailey's Harbor, and the Fourth of July parade. It is spacious with several bedrooms and beds. Two or three PackNPlays for infants. It has a a great large backyard for the kids to play. Very large fire pit for bonfires and a supply of logs. Many plastic Adirondack chairs around the fire pit. Very private location with lots of trees, great parking in a circular drive in front of the three-car garage But no access to garage. Only used the large dining room once but it is spacious and nicely decorated. We would return if the cleanliness and cluttering issues were resolved.

We loved this place! Lots of space for our large group of 9 people. The house was accessible for the grandparents, which was our main priority. After a day of sightseeing, it was great to come back to a quiet house to relax, play games, or have a campfire out back. Loved the privacy of the grounds. Would definitely recommend Stone Ridge!

We stayed at Stone Ridge because of the location, and we were pleasantly surprised at how much fun we had on the property. The kids really enjoyed the outside room to run around. The spacious yard was nicely cared for (pack your croquet game), and the woods provided the feeling of being totally in the country with a path to explore. The house feels rustic, but is very clean. Nice dish washer. Lots of extra covers and pillows in closets. Toys, books and movies. We especially appreciated the laundry detergent and soap, which we had forgotten to pack. The online photos are accurate, but the overall feel is much more airy and bright. We also enjoyed the opportunity for a campfire and s'mores! (We bought our wood and marshmallows at Piggly Wiggly, about a 15 min drive.) The master bedroom is very comfortable, with nice sheets and pillows. I didn't give this home five stars only because the decor is a little bit too rustic for some. But we would definitely go back!
