Manistique Stone Cottage

We had a great stay at the cottage. There was plenty of room for everyone. The only issue we had was the batteries died in the kitchen faucet so we did not have water for a bit in the kitchen. The Simple Life was responsive. We replaced the batteries and were quickly reimbursed for their cost. Would recommend this place to others and we would consider staying here again in the future.

This cottage was a perfect fit for our larger family. Very comfortable and clean. Management was responsive and helpful with questions and communication. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

We had a really nice stay here. Had a little issue but was able to get a hold of someone quickly. The beds don't have mattress protectors. So if you have little ones, be extra cautious. The house itself is super charming and cozy. We did a lot of cooking and there were more than enough utensils.

Other than being charged $85 more than orig quote ( which was refunded) this place was great. Location in the middle of door County, very clean , exactly as described. Will definitely suggest using this property.

House is somewhat old, but its good place to stay, my kids enjoyed the grass area, camp fire.  Only thing the door lockers are very hard to open.

We had the absolute best time staying in this beautiful house - perfect for a big group to explore Door County.

We enjoyed our stay in the cottage very much. Phenomenal location. Really charming decor and plenty of space. Also appreciated all the spices in the kitchen and the sweet little gift that was left. The washer dryer also worked well and we appreciated that there was detergent.  Only reason we rated the cottage four stars is because several of the mattresses are very uncomfortable and the linens, especially the towels are quite worn. The house also doesn't have a blow dryer, which is a home rental basic. Also, definitely bring bug spray, as the mosquitos are the property are terrible!

This home was very comfortable to stay in for 13 of us. We all had our own space and had comfortable places to gather too. We loved the screeened in porch. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cookware. The Door County Coffee that was available was an extra treat. The location was perfect and was close To Fish Creek and Ephraim. The only problem we had was lots of mosquitos, but the owners helped solve that problem by promptly spraying, which helped to keep most of them away. We would gladly stay in this home if we're ever in the area again.

We had a wonderful time. The house suited our purposes perfectly. Four teenagers loved the bedroom accommodations--girls in one room, boys in another. Kitchen, dining room, and 3 season room were all pleasant to use. 2 "master" bedrooms for 2 sets of adults worked perfectly as well. We would recommend this home and would use it again if vacationing in Door Couty.

The stone cottage was awesome! This was our second time at this home and this year we got to enjoy the fire pit and backyard as the weather was perfect! The house was clean and well equipped and perfect for 2 families with kids! One note, the faucet in the downstairs full bath drips slightly. You may want to tighten that up.

We very much enjoyed exploring Door County and using this house as our family's home base for breakfast and supper together. The only complaint is that the outside garbage and recycling bins were almost full when we arrived so we had some difficulty on what to do with our garbage. But overall, we loved the house!

We enjoyed our stay, the cabin was large and clean. It is located close to all the things that tourists want to do in Door County.

We had a great stay. Very roomy for family reunion. Great back yard to hang out. Play yard games. Enough seating for all. Fire pit was great. Had questions when we got there and answered them right away.

This rental was a dream for my family and I. it was impecibly cleaned upon our arrival which made it easy for us to settle in right away. The kitchen is well stocked with all necessary utensils to eat-in and a well maintained grill and firepit outside. The yard is expansive and backs up to a wooded lot that is adjacent to state park woods - we spend much of our time exploring these woods, finding mushroom, moss, and downed birch trees for bark collecting. We also enjoyed visits from a flock of wild turkeys and a deer during our stay. Indoors is quiet despite this home being on highway 42, and our favorite room was the double bunk bed rooms with a beautiful viewing window to the woods and plenty of games and books for the kids. All bedrooms are large and quite spacious and bathrooms are updated. Our family is certain to return to this rental in future years to come!

My husband and I really enjoyed the home, I have a two-year-old son and we all enjoyed the home and the area. My son loved to run around the backyard. The home features a closed in porch and this is the perfect place for relaxing. I would recommend a better light fixture for the kitchen but the remainder of the home looks great. The Upstairs shower should be cleaned a little bit better, the caulking looks moldy. Overall we had a fabulous time and I would stay at this house again. We truly appreciate your hospitality and your wonderful.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this spacious cottage. The location was very convenient, the bedrooms were comfortable, and we especially enjoyed the three-season porch and fire pit.
